Your journey begins with an introduction to the world of black truffles. Guided by a local expert, you'll learn how truffles are harvested, why Basilicata provides the ideal habitat for them, and how they have shaped the region's culinary traditions for generations.
The experience continues with a six-course tasting showcasing black truffle in different preparations. Sample toasted Matera bread with artisan truffle spreads, local cured meats, aged cheeses, fresh stracciatella and ricotta, followed by a perfectly cooked sunny-side-up egg topped with freshly shaved black truffle. Finish on a sweet note with homemade panna cotta, drizzled with truffle-infused honey and completed with fresh black truffle shavings.
