What to expect

On this 7-hour guided tour, you'll have the chance to explore Gran Canaria and its amazing flora and fauna. The island belongs to the region of Macaronesia and offers many attractions such as gorges, beaches, caves, and craters.

You'll be picked up from your hotel to enjoy a 1-hour ride where you can admire the landscape of the islands, full of wild ravines and curvy mountain roads.

Your guide will choose the best route depending on the weather conditions on a given day/region or season, taking into account, for example, blooming flora and other factors that will make the route very attractive.

After a 4-5 hours hike, you'll also have time to enjoy lunch at a local restaurant to taste local specialities or have a picnic.

Meeting point:

Pick-up service is only available for the Maspalomas area, which includes Bahía Feliz, San Agustín, Playa del Inglés, Meloneras, Sonnenland, Campo Internacional, and San Fernando. Please be ready outside the hotel reception at least 5 minutes before the scheduled pick-up time. The bus will display the “GC Active Tour” logo.

David adds, "Every time there's a list of Spain's prettiest villages, Tejeda is near the top. Its setting is unbeatable." From here, you'll continue through the mountains to Las Tirajanas viewpoint for photos of the vast volcanic landscape.Next up is a local lunch in a family-owned restaurant in Fataga, nestled in the Valley of a Thousand Palms. Afterwards, you'll have time to wander this cosy village, known for its cobbled lanes, palm-fringed views and traditional Canarian architecture. Before returning to your hotel, you'll stop at an aloe vera plantation to get the lowdown on the plant's medicinal properties and the role it plays in local life.
