This guided walking tour is almost completely off the beaten tourist paths and is followed by a wine tasting at a local winery.
You will start from San Venanzo, a town that rises on the slopes of Monte Peglia and whose origins date back to the Byzantine era, around the 8th century. Take Via della Fornace and after a few hundred meters you'll leave the town and enter the woods, continuing northwards. You will always follow a beautiful road, first in the woods, then close to the cultivated fields along the valley of Torrente Faena up to a paved road that we will take downhill.
You'll then reach a charming medieval village, Rotecastello, chosen as a residence by many foreigners. You can choose to book lunch at a characteristic restaurant, famous for its delicious typical cuisine, where you can enjoy homemade pasta and desserts, tasty cold cuts and cheeses and other local specialties. At the end of the visit to Rotecastello, you will come back on foot with your guide to San Venanzo.
