On this 2 hour, half day or full day tour led by a passionate local guide, you will discover the best of Liverpool and understand why it has emerged as one of the UK's most vibrant cities. Your guide will help you plan your day out: they will listen to the interests of your group and help you decide which area or parts of the World Heritage Site to explore.
Liverpool Blue Badge tour guides are amongst the most prestigious group of guides and have been examined to the highest level by the Institute of Tourist Guiding. You cannot be a Liverpool tour guide without loving the Beatles and your day will, of course, include lots of Beatles connections in the city where the 'fab four' all grew up.
You will see fabulous waterfront statues of the Beatles and other Liverpool musicians and you will also visit the magnificent Port of Liverpool Buildings and the Albert Docks. The rest of the day will be up to you, perhaps you'd like to visit one of the two cathedrals, one of which is the world's fifth largest. Why not explore the Georgian Quarter or the William Brown Street area, rich in American history and visit the museums and galleries and not to be missed is the fabulous Victorian Round Reading Room.
If you're without a car, you can navigate the small city centre on foot, or transport can be arranged for you from a small licenced car or people carrier. You may purchase open top bus tickets on the day (the group would normally be expected to pay for the guides ticket too) enabling your group to explore further afield to locations including LFC stadium at Anfield or Strawberry Field Gates or Penny Lane Development Centre.
All of the recommendations on the day will ensure that everyone in your group is able to access that area or attraction, all of the walks have been risk assessed and the guides know the city extremely well and will adapt your tour on the day to suit the weather conditions. In the case of clients booking a guide from a Cruise Ship - all tours will finish at least 90-minutes before "All aboard".
