You're in for a real treat on this tour which will take to some of the furthest flung corners of the Highlands, most beautiful peninsulas of the land and highest of roads. Driving across the beautiful Black Isle, you will take in rugged scenery before reaching Lochcarron, so named because of the Loch it sits beside, a true jewel in Northwestern Scotland's crown. Climbing now, you'll head to Ardarroch, gaining fantastic views over Loch Kishorn and the mountains on its opposite shore. Heading ever upwards, to over 2,000 feet over the Bealach nam Ba, which is one of the highest roads in Britain, you'll reach the peak with views of Raasay and the Isle of Skye, before commencing the descent to Applecross Village.
From mountain to sea now, as you reach the gorgeous village of Applecross, its bay, and its wildlife (look out for pine martens, otters and red deer) discovering the true history of the Highlands at the heritage centre. Next you'll head to Britain's oldest Nature Reserve, Beinn Eighe, taking in the towering pine woods and the spectacular golden eagles. Before heading home, you'll head to Kinlochewe and Achnash to round off the trip.
