What to expect

Korouoma is a deep canyon fracture valley with cliffs, rapids, waterfalls and breathtaking sceneries all year round. In the Wintertime, the waterfalls turn into fantastic ice formations perfect for ice-climbing and a great attraction to visit. Join this tour to observe some of the most spectacular frozen waterfalls in Europe and enjoy the beauty of snowy nature.

Your guide will pick you up from your accommodation drive you to Korouoma Canyon for a hike in the park. As you hike across the canyon, your guide will keep an eye on wildlife and flora and teach you about your surroundings. With a bit of luck, you can spot tracks made by wolves, lynx, wolverines, moose, reindeer, weasels, or Arctic hare.

Enjoy a little break with some refreshments and a typical Finnish barbecue snack. This is a great opportunity for your guide to show you how to build a fire as the natives do. No need for matches or lighter, your guide will use a flint&steel and natural materials.
