What to expect

The Ecomusée d'Alsace is the largest open-air museum in France. During your visit, you will discover an authentic Alsatian village during the Christmas period as it existed at the beginning of the 20th century.

You will discover the Alsatian traditions of Advent and Christmas of yesteryear. Family objects, the smell of the hearth and the green branches of the Christmas tree, stars and other symbolic forms, the warmth of the soft lights... will awaken all your senses and your imagination!

Here, it is time for the enchantment of an enchanting decoration that takes you into another world, another time. The streets are dressed in bright and vegetal ornaments, decorated Christmas tree garlands surround you, and every corner is an opportunity to dream and admire white wooden sculptures, moving and sound elements...
