The first English speaking street art community of Madrid organizes a daily street art experience. A non-commercial event for street art lovers and graffiti hunters. Discover the underground movement which colors the city and changes the faccades of buildings into free museums.
Meet us from Wednesday to Sunday at 11.00AM or 5.00PM at the two big babies statues located on the upper level entrance of the Atocha Renfe Station. We will visit La Neomudejar, Madrid's avant garde center and former MZA warehouse. Learn the history of this XIX century building and walk around the permanent and in-rotation exhibitions. Meet Fran and Nestor, the directors of IVAHM.
Continue the experience in Lavapiés, the most multicultural neighborhood in Madrid. Our street art expert will teach you about the techniques used and seen in the area: stencil, paste-up, throw-up, stickers... Tour around the walls of La Tabacalera, a former tobacco factory where more than 2,000 women work in the labors of cutting, chopping and rolling of tobacco products.
End up our city tour through Calle Embajadores, the most street art populated area where national artists have performed during the past few years. We will complete the visit at El Campo de Cebada, considered the people's movement Plaza. A public space for hybrid economy.
