The inside story
Still actively used to this day, the Basilica of Our Lady (or Onze Lieve Vrouwe) is a site of major cultural and religious significance in Maastricht, the Netherlands.
Built sometime in the 11th and 12th centuries, this centrally located Romanesque church is famous for its sacred wooden statue of the Virgin Mary.
