Day 1 Las Vegas - Sedona
You’ll start the day travelling across the Mojave Desert, and head up the Colorado Plateau and historic route 66, before arriving to Sedona. Drive the magnificent scenic Oak Creek Canyon that descends 2000 feet (610 meters) to the valley floor. You’ll stop for photos of the red rocks and surroundings at the Oak Creek Canyon overlook and the slide rock state park. Then, you’ll enjoy a lunch break in Sedona where you can browse authentic Indian arts and crafts stores as well as boutiques and galleries. After, you’ll move to the surrounding desert and will have the option to visit the Chapel of the Holy Cross (self-guided visit using local shuttle service) and enjoy panoramic views of Sedona red rock formations such as Bell Rock, Courthouse Butte and Cathedral Rock, before departing for Flagstaff for overnight. Day 2 Sedona – Monument Valley – Horseshoe Bend
You’ll begin the 2nd day in Monument Valley, a symbol of the American West and one of the most majestic and photographed spots in the world, featuring sandstone formations from 400-1000 feet (up to 300 meters) around these sandstone towers. Your visit will begin with a jeep tour led by Navajo Indians, taking you down into the valley. Then, you’ll stop for an outdoor BBQ lunch followed by a stop at Horseshoe Bend before arriving overnight to Lake Powell and Page. Overnight: Clarion Inn Page
Day 3 – Antelope Canyon – Valley of Fire – Las Vegas
See where “the water runs through the rocks”, as per Navajo folklore. You’ll tour the upper Antelope Canyon and visit the spectacular dunes created by the wind, water and sand. Then you’ll make your way back to Las Vegas, stopping for a lunch break and visiting the Valley of Fire, named for its spectacular red sandstone formations created from shifting sands and dunes during the age of dinosaurs. Your visit will be timed as such to see the appearance of the valley being on “fire” when reflecting the powerful sun’s rays into the valley (weather permitting). Early evening arrival in Las Vegas
