Festive evening tour of Arrecife Christmas Fair and markets
Swap snowflakes for sunbeams this season and gift yourself a sun-kissed adventure in Arrecife – Lanzarote's bite-sized capital. Despite the balmy temperatures, you'll feel fully festive on this evening trip to Navilan, Arrecife's Christmas fair, complete with rides, market stalls and cozy fire pits. Ana, one of our local guides, says “it's the most wonderful time of the year in Lanzarote. Surround yourself with the festive magic of the fair and jingle your way through the market – the ultimate gift under your Christmas palm tree.”Whether you're after an adrenaline rush on the rollercoaster, or prefer the pace of a classic carousel, there's something for all ages and appetites, and you'll have plenty of time to explore it all. Ride the 32-meter-high Ferris wheel to get your bearings and nab a picture of Arrecife bathed in the glow of twinkling Christmas lights. There's a snowy slope for sledging down, an ever-snowing igloo and an ice-rink where you can show off your triple axel – or just have a shuffle around with the crowd. With the scent of roasted chestnuts in the air, follow your nose to the traditional Christmas market. 22 stalls are brimming with festive favourites, from handmade crafts, decorations and gifts to locally produced cheeses, jams and wines. Ana adds “nothing says Christmas like a roaring fire, so make sure you take a moment to cozy up by the fire pit, grab some marshmallows to toast and maybe a hot chocolate or mulled wine.” After you've had your fill of Christmas cheer, you'll meet up with your guide and jingle all the way back to your hotel in Playa Blanca or Puerto del Carmen.

Guided shopping and exploration trip to Marina Rubicón
As leisurely mornings go, it doesn't get more easy going than this trip to Marina Rubicón. This is a great excursion to take if you're staying in Puerto Del Carmen and Costa Teguise. You'll take a trip down to the marina where your guide will help you get oriented. Then, you're free to head off and explore at your own pace. This yacht harbour slash leisure hub has plenty going on. For starters, the pathway that divides the harbour area from the open sea is one of the most scenic walking routes on this side of the island. You'll get a good look at all the fancy boats that're parked up here – it has room for over 500 of them, after all – as well as some epic coastal views. What's more, the marina is framed by a selection of boutiques and stylish shops, where you can pick up the likes of designer clothes and the usual souvenirs, like magnets and themed ornaments. A market is hosted here every Wednesday and Saturday, as well, where local handicrafts and regional goods are up for grabs. After some time looking around and shopping for anything you fancy, you'll be driven back to your accommodation.
