The bus departs from Edinburgh, with a stop in Glasgow to collect other passengers, if any. You then head to the "Bonny, Bonny" banks of Loch Lomondand, to visit the picturesque conservation village of Luss. Continue travelling north via Tyndrum, passing over the atmospheric Rannoch Moor, before enjoying time to admire the dramatic Glencoe valley, site of the 1692 massacre of the MacDonald Clan. The lunch will break will be in the Fort William area, then, you'll stop for photos at Ben Nevis, Britain’s highest mountain, Glen Garry, and the stunning Five Sisters of Kintail mountain range.
The first tour will end in the village of Portree, on the Isle of Skye, where you'll check into your accommodation.
On the second day, you'll depart Portree for a full day tour, choose between a visit to Dunvegan Castle (not included in the tour fee), or a trip to Uig with a stop to visit Flora MacDonald’s grave, and the unique Black Houses, ancient dwellings of the Scottish Highlanders. The journey will continue with an outside view of Duntulm Castle, a stop to take photos of Kilt Rock, and perhaps a stroll at the Lealt Falls. Before returning to Potree for to spend the night, enjoy the opportunity to admire the Old Man of Storr.
The third day will start descending via the much-admired Eilean Donan Castle, backdrop for the movie "Highlander" (the castle entrance is not included in the tour fee, and the castle interior is closed in winter), then move on to the pretty loch-side village of Fort Augustus for lunch, and views of Loch Ness. After lunch, continue south over Laggan, and the Grampian mountains. Enjoy the last stop for refreshments, in the Victorian resort town of Pitlochry, before returning to Edinburgh.
