Taking off and landing aboard a seaplane is an exhilarating experience. And the views when you're in the air aren't half bad either. You'll have a bird's-eye view of Port Rashid, The Palm Jumeirah, the Burj Al Arab and scenic stretches of the Dubai coastline.
After taking off from either Dubai Creek or Jebel Ali, you'll soon be in the air with a guide pointing out all of Dubai's most famous landmarks. It's undoubtedly the most dramatic way to tour the city, and gives a whole new meaning to sightseeing. This epic adventure lasts 40 minutes.
On the return journey, look out for the Emirates Golf Club and the neighbouring Sheikh Zayed Road, which offers one final spectacular glimpse of the city below. There's really no better way to see the extreme contrast between barren desert and a gleaming modern city than by seaplane. Add in the extra excitement of a sea landing and it becomes a must-do.
