Leave Vilnius for the day to dive into Lithuanian history. You will head to the Hill of Crosses, a unique place listed on the 10 creepiest places in the world. This hill is filled with more than a hundred thousand crosses in all shapes and sizes. Brought to the hill by pilgrimages for hundreds of years.
Next up you will visit the town of Šiauliai, one of Lithuania's oldest cities. Walk around the city to admire the many sculptures and churches. Make sure to visit the statue of the Golden Archer and the Iron Fox.
After your visit to Šiauliai, you will head back to Vilnius. Admire the beautiful sceneries from the window while your guide tells you about the local history and traditions of Lithuania. You will learn about cross making art, one of the most unique Lithuanian crafts included in the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage list. An interesting way to finish your day out!
