Meeting point:

Present your voucher to the Musement coordinator (dressed in Musement orange uniform) at the meeting point at the top of the flight of stairs just after the Caffé Vaticano.

PLEASE NOTE: if you selected the audio guide option, you will access St. Peter's Basilica on your own. After the tour of the Vatican Museums, exit the Museums and get to the Basilica's main entrance; there, a Vox Mundi coordinator, wearing a blue jacket with the logo printed on it, will accompany you inside through a dedicated gate.

What to remember
  • For the month of October, it will not be possible to enter St. Peter's Basilica with the guide. An extended tour of the Vatican Museums will be offered, as it is not possible to pass through the Sistine Chapel inside St. Peter's Basilica due to the provisions concerning the containment of the contagion from Covid-19
  • The Vatican skip-the-line entrance ticket option does not include access to St. Peter's Basilica
  • Access to St. Peter's Basilica is included in the audio guide option
  • Please note: if the audio guide option is selected you will access St. Peter's Basilica on your own; after the tour of the Vatican Museums you will need to exit the Museums and enter the Basilica from its main entrance, showing your voucher and skipping the line. The selected time slot always refers to the time you access the Vatican Museums, not Saint Peter's Basilica
  • You can choose to add earphones to your audio guide; if selected, your Musement assistant will give them to you at the meeting point
  • Please check that your smartphone is equipped with a jack connector, in case you want to purchase the audioguide + earphones option. If your smartphone is not equipped with a jack connector, please use your own earphones
  • The audio guide to the Vatican Museums is available in English, Italian, French, Spanish, German and Chinese; the Saint Peter's Basilica audio guide is available in English, Italian, French, Spanish, German, Chinese, Polish, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Russian
  • To get through the metal detector security controls quicker, we advise you to avoid carrying items not admitted in the Museums
  • Before entering the exhibition space you have to leave your personal belongings, bags, backpacks, suitcases in the free cloakroom
  • Shorts and vest tops are not permitted
  • In order to be entitled to tickets at a reduced rate for students (19-25 years), you must present yourself at the meeting point with a photocopy of your ID card, which a Musement representative will take to the ticket office

  • If you choose the 7.45am morning skip-the-line entry, you'll be able to access the Vatican Museums before the official opening
  • Entry is free every last Sunday of the month from 9.00am to 2.00pm (last entrance at 12.30pm) provided it does not coincide with Easter Sunday, 29 June, 25 and 26 December

  • Sundays (with the exception of the last Sunday of the month), 1 and 6 January, 11 February, 19 March, 13 April, 1 May, 29 June, 15 August, 1 November, 8, 25 and 26 December
  • On 21 December, the Vatican Museums will open at 1.30pm and will close at 6.30pm (last entrance at 4.30pm)
  • On 24 and 31 December, the Vatican Museums will close at 3.30pm (last entrance at 1.30pm)
  • On the 10 January, the Sistine Chapel will close at 2.00pm (last entrance at 1.30pm); on 11 January it will close at 1.00pm (last entrance at 12.30pm)
