During this full-day excursion, you will leave the coast and first enjoy a beautiful drive through the Gorges du Loup and the high Provence. The first stop will be Castellane, the gateway to the Gorges du Verdon, nestled at the foot of its famous rock. Here you'll have a short time to go for a coffee or explore this typical village of the high Provence.
You will then follow the river Verdon, which takes its name from its turquoise green color and drive up to the entrance of the Canyon. The Verdon Canyon is considered as the most beautiful and deepest in Europe. Your driver/guide will drive the famous "Route des Crêtes" where you'll enjoy the most spectacular and breathtaking views of the gorge, which can reach a depth of 700 meters. At the end of the Canyon, you will discover the lake Saint-Croix with its stunning colors. All along this road, you'll be able to take the most beautiful pictures at the viewpoints.
You will also discover Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, one of the most beautiful medieval villages in France known for its rich ceramic history. You will have time there to explore this lovely village and enjoy a good meal before driving back to Nice.
