You will start your experience with a visit to the beautiful Duomo. Dedicated to St. John the Baptist and completely rebuilt starting from 1300 in Gothic style, in the palatine chapel of Teodolinda houses the precious Iron Crown, used for royal coronations from the first Carolingians to Otto I and Otto III, Frederick Barbarossa, Charles IV, Frederick III of Hapsburg, Charles V, Napoleon I and Ferdinand I of Austria.
You will continue your visit through the city center, and you will meet the churches S. Maria Maddalena and S. Teresa, whose original structure dates back to the thirteenth century and S. Maria in Strada built in the second half of the fourteenth century and restored in the nineteenth century.
In the historical center you will also have the opportunity to admire the Arengario, an example of municipal architecture and civic center of power since the end of the 13th century. From there, after a walk of about 15 minutes, you will reach the sumptuous Villa Reale with its magnificent gardens and parks, the princely residence of Archduke Ferdinand of Austria, son of Empress Maria Theresa.
