What to expect

The Genoa Aquarium, recently renovated and expanded, allows for an extraordinary journey to discover aquatic environments around the world with over 70 ecosystems and around 12,000 specimens belonging to 400 species of fish, marine mammals, reptiles, amphibians, and birds.

The Children's City is a large play area of over 3,000 square meters where visitors between 2 and 13 years can touch, observe, and experiment with different topics. With more than 90 multimedia and interactive exhibits, children and young people put themselves to the test, alone or in the company of adults, to share an educational experience with the family.

What to remember
  • The OPEN ticket can be used for one year starting from the purchase date. It permits access to the Genoa Aquarium on any single day at the time of your choice within the valid date range (1 year)

  • The OPEN ticket cannot be changed or refunded
  • N.B. Inside the structure at the Children's City, visitors are obliged to use non-slip socks (they can be found for sale on site for €2.00)
  • On days of high turnout at the aquarium, such as weekends in high season, holidays and long weekends, it is suggested to enter at a less crowded time of the day (between 8.30am and 9.30am, or from 3.00pm onwards) to make the visit more enjoyable for you

  • March-April-May-June-September-October: from Monday - Friday from 9.00am - 7.30pm (last entrance at 6.00pm); Saturday, Sunday and holidays 8.45am - 8.30pm (last entrance at 7.00pm)
  • July-August from Monday - Sunday from 8.30am - 10.00pm (last entrance at 8.30pm)

Hours for the Children's City:

  • Tuesday - Sunday 10.00am - 6.00pm (last entry at 4.45pm)
  • Closed Mondays (except for on holidays and during the months of April, May and August)
  • Closed from Monday 16 September to Friday 4 October inclusive
