Visit the Amazing Village of Giethoorn, described by the tour operators as "Venice of the North”.
It is a beautifully preserved village built in the middle of a swampy area. Each farmhouse is actually built on a small man-made island and the access to the village centre is traditionally done by boat. You will embark on a one hour guided cruise in the village centre, experiencing the idyllic beauty of this amazing place. In order to fully enjoy, take some time to wander the narrow walking paths on your own.
On the way to Giethoorn, you will visit some of the beautiful villages or little towns on the way. You will also drive through some of the most picturesque country-side this country has to offer. You drive back to Amsterdam via the newly reclaimed province of Flevoland and the modern cities: Lelystad and Almere.
