Considered one of the most picturesque parts of the Costa Tropical, Nerja and nearby Frigiliana evoke the Andalusia of yesteryear. You'll venture along the rocky coast towards the village of Frigiliana before reaching Nerja and its Balcony of Europe. Topping off the tour is a visit to a botanical garden.
Frigiliana is a mainstay on lists of Spain's most beautiful villages, and the drive from Almeria is also a sight to behold. You'll head inland to the foothills of the Almijara Mountains to explore this typical whitewashed village. Amble along the hilly streets of the old town and browse the handicraft shops.
Then, it's down to Nerja on the coast. Unusually for a seaside resort, it has retained a typical Andalusian appearance and atmosphere. You'll have free time to poke around shops and cafés, and stop at Balcony of Europe to view the cove-strewn coastline. Finally, we'll swing by a beautiful botanical garden where you'll be welcomed in for a herbal drink and an introduction from the resident biologist.
