The route begins at the bottom station in Erlenbach im Simmental, a charming village with traditional houses set in an idyllic valley. The middle station, Chrindi, is the starting point for a variety of outdoor activities, including mountain hikes, mountain biking trails, via ferratas, and paragliding. At the summit, a spectacular viewing platform with a glass floor offers breathtaking panoramic views.

If you are travelling with a wheelchair or a stroller, you have good options on the Stockhorn. From the top station, you can comfortably travel up a 70-meter-long tunnel to the viewing platform. The restaurants are also wheelchair accessible. Even a circular path around the Hinterstockensee is accessible by wheelchair

Know in advance:

Departures every 30 minutes. Summer (April to November): first departure at 7.50 am and last departure at 5.35 pm. Winter (November to March): first departure at 8.50 am and last departure at 5.05 pm
